Mr. Darcy and I Love Technology.

It was time for a new phone.  So this weekend I picked up a Galaxy Notebook.  It’s not the latest version (Notebook II is out), but it’s really fantastic. Among other things, it has a pressure sensitive stylus and a sizeable screen.  Using Autodesk’s SketchBook Pro Mobile App, I sketched the Jane Austin tribute below (today is the 200th anniversary of Pride and Prejudice) while watching bits of the BBC mini series featuring (be still my beating heart) Colin Firth.

I’m pretty excited about the stylus. So often, I’ll be out with my kids at lessons, or at the park and want to sketch.  While I do often carry a paper sketch book with me, the SketchBook app allows me a greater variety of  ‘tools’ at my disposal rather than just a physical pencil (which is often lost in the nether-regions of my purse anyway).  Yay for technology!  I have a love/hate thing with gadgets, but today, it’s all LOVE.

    1. I fight technology all the time…but I too recently upgraded my dinosaur phone for a smart phone (but just like you, I went for an older version {apple 4 instead of 5}. And I hate to say it, but I too am in LOVE, I had no idea what I was missing all these years!

That SketchBook app looks amazing!? It's crazy what one can do now a days with technology! 😉

      1. The salesperson tried to upsell the Notebook II to us, but we weren't buying it. He was seriously astonished that we didn't want it. "Why wouldn't you get the latest technology available?" He kept asking. Tony almost broke out into laughter on the spot. SHOCKING that we wouldn't want to NEWEST new gadget. Seriously, what the Notebook II has over the Notebook I was really nothing notable, at least for our needs. Plus, it had a hefty price attached to it – and well, we could upgrade for free to the Notebook we ended up getting. So we did. And I love it. So, yay.
And to you, welcome to being connected ALL OF THE TIME! It's got it's pluses and minuses, but mostly pluses. ;P
