I’ve been out and about sketching a bit. Winter is dripping away and soon the warmer weather will rule the days. Then I will be able to sketch outdoors, not just from the warmth of my car. The above is a home on Querbes Ave in Outremont.

From the 11th floor of the Concordia EV Building – I used a water soluble Pilot pen and layered colour over top. I fussed with it too much and it got mucky.
I’m trying to to be less precious about the sketches and focus on the energy of doing them. I’m working on keeping colour choices in mind, occasionally watching and re-watching this great video. If you wrestle with colour, watch it. Really, really.
